Privacy Policy
1. Overview
MorseCode Tool is a free online Morse code translator that converts text to Morse code and decodes Morse code to text. The core principle behind this tool is simple: all conversion runs entirely inside your own browser. The text you type, the Morse code you paste, the audio you play, and any files you download are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to, stored on, or seen by our servers.
This policy explains what limited information is involved when you use the site, what we deliberately do not collect, and the third-party services that load on our informational pages. We keep it concrete and verifiable rather than filling it with legal boilerplate.
2. Your Content Is Processed Locally
The translator is built with client-side JavaScript using a local character-mapping table and the standard Web Audio interface. As a direct result:
- No uploads: The text and Morse code you enter are never sent to our server. Conversion happens in your browser as you type.
- No storage: We do not save, log, or retain the content you convert. Closing or refreshing the page clears it from memory.
- Local downloads: WAV audio and text files are generated in your browser and saved directly to your device. They are not uploaded or copied to our servers.
Because your content never reaches us, we have nothing to sell, share, or hand over regarding the messages you translate.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
To remove any ambiguity, MorseCode Tool does not:
- Require or create user accounts, logins, or passwords.
- Store or log the text or Morse code you convert.
- Sell, rent, or share your input with any third party.
- Embed tracking pixels or web beacons inside the translator itself.
- Ask for personal information such as your name, email, or phone number to use the tool.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
The translator itself does not require cookies to function. The only cookies that may be set are those placed by Google Analytics (see Section 5) for aggregate, anonymous traffic measurement. You can block or delete these cookies at any time through your browser settings without affecting how the tool works.
5. Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 for lightweight, aggregate traffic measurement on our public pages (homepage, about, team, and this privacy page). GA4 records anonymous, non-identifying signals such as page views, approximate session duration, country-level location, browser type, and device category.
GA4 never receives the text or Morse code you convert, and no input from the translator is sent to Google. You may block analytics entirely with your browser’s privacy settings, an ad-blocking extension, or Google’s official Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking it has no effect on the translator.
6. Third-Party Services
Our pages load a small number of standard third-party resources, used only for appearance and analytics:
- Google Fonts & Material Symbols (
fonts.googleapis.com) — typefaces and interface icons. - GA4 measurement script (
googletagmanager.com) — anonymous traffic analytics.
None of these services receive the content you translate. All conversion, audio playback, and file generation happen entirely within your browser with no third-party API calls.
7. Transport Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS (HTTP over TLS), so the pages and assets delivered to your browser are encrypted in transit. Standard web server access logs (such as request path, status code, and IP address) may be kept briefly for security and diagnostics; they are not linked to any content you convert, since that content never leaves your device.
8. Children’s Privacy
MorseCode Tool is a general-audience educational utility that collects no personal information and requires no account. It does not knowingly collect data from children, and is suitable for use in classrooms and by learners of any age.
9. Data Protection & Your Rights
Because the translator collects no personal data and processes your content entirely on your own device, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. The limited, anonymous analytics we use are handled in line with frameworks such as the GDPR and CCPA, and can be opted out of as described in Section 5.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the tool or the third-party services it uses. Any material change will be posted on this page with an updated revision date below.
